What is Interestnaut?
A free, cross-media home for your taste. Rate the movies, shows, games, books and music you love, and Interestnaut charts you as one of 32 taste archetypes — then it's a place to build lists, follow people, and find what fits.
Is it free?
Yes — the core is free: finding your archetype, building and sharing lists, following people, and exploring, all with no paywall or trial clock. Down the line we may add optional paid extras (think heavier AI tools), but the everyday experience stays free for everyone.
Do I have to download an app?
Nope. Interestnaut runs right in your browser at app.interestnaut.com. There's also an iOS app if you'd like it on your phone, with Android on the way.
What's a "taste archetype"?
Everything you rate resolves onto five taste facets, which land you in one of 32 cross-media personalities. You don't take a quiz — you just add things you love, and the more you add, the sharper the read gets.
What can I actually do here?
Chart your taste, build lists — plain, grouped sub-lists, or ranked countdowns — react to individual picks, follow people whose taste you vibe with, and get recommendations drawn from what you love. Every list shares with a link.
Which media does it cover?
Movies, TV, games, books and music — all in one place. Seeing your taste across every medium at once, instead of one app per hobby, is the whole point.
Will you add podcasts, creators, or other media?
Quite possibly — with enough interest. The five media are just the starting point; podcasts, influencers and creators, and more can follow if people actually want them. Something you'd love to see in here? Email [email protected] and make the case — user demand is what moves it up the list.
How do recommendations work?
They're built from your taste facets and the things you've genuinely loved — not from what's trending or what's being pushed. You stay in the driver's seat, and the more you rate, the better it gets.
Something I love is missing — can I add it?
Please do. You can contribute new titles or improve existing ones with better details, tags and facets, and earn contribution points for it. The catalog grows with the community.
Something isn't right — can I fix it?
Yes! Spot a wrong cover, a bad tag, a mislabeled year or creator? Suggest an edit to any entry right in the app — approved fixes earn you contribution points too. The catalog gets better because people fix it.
Is my profile public?
It's yours — you decide what's shared. You can keep things private, or make your profile and lists public so others can discover them. See the Privacy page for the details.
Who is it for?
Anyone who loves movies, shows, games, books or music and wants one home for all of it. No expertise, no ratings homework — just the stuff you already love.
